Small Business Person of the Year

In May, Jerry Jost, president and founder of Jost Chemical Co., was named the 2010 Small Business Person of the Year by the Small Business Administration (SBA) for Eastern Missouri. Every year, the SBA recognizes entrepreneurs across the country for their achievements, staying power, growth, current and past financial performance, innovativeness of products offered, response to adversity and contributions to community-oriented projects.

Energy/Chemicals Entrepreneur of the Year

In June, Jerry Jost, president and founder of Jost Chemical Co., was awarded the 2010 Energy/Chemicals Entrepreneur Of The Year in the Central Midwest region that includes Missouri, Kansas, Iowa and Nebraska. According to Ernst & Young LLP., this award recognizes outstanding entrepreneurs whose ingenuity, hard work and innovation have created successful and growing businesses.

The Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year awards celebrate their 24th anniversary in 2010. The program honors entrepreneurs who have demonstrated exceptional and sustained performance in such areas as innovation, perseverance in the face of obstacles, finance, and personal commitment to their employees and communities.

- A REACH O.R. (Only Representative) has been appointed. - The requisite professional staff of REACH Regulatory specialists has been developed. - All Jost Chemical products that have been identified as impacted by REACH have been pre-registered in accordance with REACH requirements.
